The EV truck is an electric successor to the long model line of the Chevrolet series called the Silverado. It is offered as a series of full-size pickup trucks, chassis cab trucks, and medium-duty trucks.  The 2019 model year took on the fourth generation of the model line. The upcoming Chevy Silverado electric pickup truck will be unveiled at CES 2022 (Consumer Electronics Show) on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022.

Model description

The electric Silverado is being developed on GM’s Ultium modular EV platform. found in vehicles like the GMC Hummer EV and Cadillac Lyriq. Like the Silverado powered by an internal combustion engine, the electric Silverado will also spawn a GMC Sierra counterpart. According to the company, the Ultium Platform is an electric solution for the future-making electric propulsion. amazing torque and zero emissions driving possible. Like all next generation EVs, the Chevy Silverado electric pickup truck will utilize Ultium components. including Ultium batteries and Ultium drive motors.

The available segment leading fixed-glass roof of the electric Silverado offers an expansive visibility. It also increases headroom and an enhanced experience for both front and rear passengers. This is the first application of a fixed glass roof on a GM pickup.

Both electric pickup trucks will be built at GM’s Factory Zero plant in Detroit, Michigan. An electric Cadillac Escalade is yet to be confirmed but may also be built at the plant.

It enters production in early 2023 and lands in showrooms late that year, suggesting it will arrive as a 2024 model.
